Come, said the frog to the toad,
let us hop down to the pond,
at the end of the road.
Jump on to a giant lily leaf,
and watch the fish,
as they swim underneath.
Dine on the succulent dragon flies,
see the the world,
as it drifts by.
Then at the end of the day,
we can gaze at the stars,
watch the moon,
as it passes mars.
Come said the frog to the toad.

Alas, as in all life's adventures The toad discovered the dangers In being led by one Who only cared for some. For when the promised lilly pad Sank from the weight of the cad Who enticed the toad to come along To the joys of the frogs song The frog swam away While the toad sank into the waters grey And paid the price For having not thought twice That if life is going to be nothing but pleasure and fun There's someone Who must pay the piper when he's due For the few Who swim merrily away To live another day So vote as you may please But be aware of those who tease And offer pleasure and free gifts for everyone That someday you will have to atone. s
