The Funny Furnace Swap Poem by *Tony Cemaluk Egbuonu

The Funny Furnace Swap

He has been having fun in Naija?
You've been doing the work he couldn't
on site, by sight.

Now he is tired, off-site.
Tired of the funny furnace.
Now he wants to trade by barter:
'Take over the funny furnace? '

Yes.
You take over the fun.
He takes his hoe and yours... plus.

He was never lazy.
He worked with no hoe, no shovel, no hammer.
And he didn't complain.
But he boasted of monumental mounds
from his hoeless hard work.

So, swap your sight for his funny furnace.

Set him free from the funny fury furnace
that you sighted, and sought.
