The Future - Poem by Enej Šloser

I look upon the bright sky, and take a deep breath,
For I wonder what the future brings,
Will it be good or bad I am not to judge,
The riddle of life overtakes my mind,
I want to find the answer but do not know where to begin,

As the creations of man blind our minds to discover the meaning,
Meaning of life,
As people die in vain for causes of no reason,
As love fades away, life dies, and so do I,
There are no colors to this cold, fading world anymore.

Therefore I ask myself
If all i know is death and sorrow which ascends from it
If I know so little and try to do so much
If I pass away before my word is heard
Was i ever truly alive?
