The Game - Poem by justin byerline

Tell me a story
of a girl and a guy
who flew up into the sky
tell em a story
of a dog and a cat
and a wooden baseball bat
or a lonely young boy named matt
who never found what he was looking for
things didnt stay the same
so he became kind of lame
to the point where none of us knew him
his life began to dim
just because he couldnt make it above the rim
he had nothing left to lose
so he started playing the blues
then out of the sadness came fame
all of the sudden he wasnt so lame
because he learned to play the game
the media came
to rip out his soul
and put it in a bowl
the lonely young boy
has paid his toll
