The sun wakes up, a gardener is there,
He hears a whisper, light as air.
Two roses talk, a soft, sweet sound,
Of what they are, on hallowed ground.
'My red friend sighed, with leaves so bright,
'I hold strong love, a burning light!
Like passion's fire, a stormy plea,
A heart aflame, for you and me.''
The white rose swayed, a gentle breeze,
'I bring soft peace, ' it said with ease.
'For hurting souls, I give my grace,
And light to fill each lonely space.'
The gardener smiled, his clippers down,
He let them bloom, without a frown.
For gardens need the storm and calm,
And gifts beyond a human palm.
