The Genuine Me 3 Poem by Noorie Ali

The Genuine Me 3

I’m just genuinely me
As genuine as pureness can be
Sometime I’m raged
Sometimes I’m calm

My mood represents me
Sometimes I’m like a mild tangerine
So orange and ripe

I’m fresh to the bone
Very sour to the bone
At times
I’m some place else
That place which is forbidden for
Me, I’m just genuinely me

My smiles show my white teeth
That are sweet, my organized
Features let out the flowers in me
So delicate and colourful

They speak to my shadows that
Are friends with me?
Some greet my solitude
When I’m alone in my utopia heaven

I’m just genuinely me
As straight as my back spine can be
My thick flesh protects my core
As I walk on by with two legs
To open up the doors I wasn’t invited into

I sometimes speak in a language that is
Out of order, I apologize.
My eyes are saying fight
My heart is saying stay in your senses
I’m just genuinely me

I’m strong, I’m weak, I’m neat, I messy
I’m fussy I’m a freak I’m the streak of blue illumine rays
I’m a star I’m the moon I’m with you, without you
But as always I will never forget you.
Because I’m just genuinely me as chaste as human-nature can be.
