The Ghost Of Me - Poem by Starr Severon

The ghost of me lingers on
never ending
like a sad slow melodic song.
Thriving from all the pain, and agony
Only to feel me, never seeing me again.
Hurt me and lead me further away.
Still I carry all the aches, and horrors from ills I've caused.
Haunted, and taunted, I am there and here.
Oh, do not be forsaken- for part of my heart will always be autumn because of you,
and another dead from all the darkness too.
Feel me in that cool chill behind your neck - it is a kiss, and of yours, I miss
I cry, and try; there is no way out.
This is the true ghost of me -
Here, there, forever -
All around, for ever, and ever, I will...I am
lingering on, and on
Oh, just keep playing that sad, sad song.
