The Ghosters Poem by july barfuhgnugen

The Ghosters

Bye mom we're going out to play
Sshhhh…sneak by the window and past the maple tree
Put one foot forward and slide down with me.
The road on the left down the fire escape, ……. but run
we’re not allowed to stay out later than the sun

I’d like you to meet the “Ghosters”
A friend of mine and this friend could be yours
You ask how do you do? And they always say fine
If only this simple family were as easy as mine.

How could we see a home in this old Volkswagen van
Where was the family that ….We just ran
I love you Rachel and the imagination you have. It got me away.
I have no bad memories because we could always just play

Whether the life make-believe or the game real
I’m turning out OK because at least I can feel

Today on the ride home from work I wished for the one person that was always there.
Whether I wanted to cry, scream, play, ……..our relationship was always fair.
I wanted to do your make-up and you do my hair
Read me a book and play laugh or stare.
Lets go to the mirror and practice a face
See who comes first in a swimming race.

I can play the guitar now and you don’t even know
I still wish I saw you all the places I go.
The connection never changed and Love stayed the same
But I wish you were here to 'make beleive' through this game.

Wow, for me this one brought up sadness; I love your whole family, honey, just like they are my own...When U are down, please give a call or whatever...I have this New Year's Resolution, to learn to play BINGO...I'm sure you understand.
