The Gift Of A Poet - Poem by James Grayson

I have a gift, I can make you read.
I can write of nothing and you will still read.
You’re reading now!
What’s the point?
Why do you read on?
The only point I have to make is the fact
I can make you read.
I have a gift.
I use it well,
Because you still read on.
I enjoy it, as I hope you do, so,
Thank you for reading.
Without you my gift has no
Purpose or meaning.
So again
Thank you for reading.
