The Gift Of Growing Old Poem by Randi Bard

The Gift Of Growing Old

With one look into her eyes, you can see a special light,
A twinkle, a glow, a woman that has put up a fight;
She is full of faith for her Lord, strength, and courage,
She is like a rose that has never wilted; only grown more beautiful and flourished;
She has struggled and sometimes stumbled throughout the toughest of years,
Only to overcome and conquer, while wiping away the tears;
Over time the Lord has given her a gift more precious than gold,
One we do not all receive—the gift of growing old.
