The most important gift today
is not beneath the Christmas tree.
It is one that does not need a tag
that will matter to you or me.
No elaborate paper or red ribbon
covers the precious gift.
It will fill your heart with joy
and give your soul a needed lift.
What gift could possibly be rewarding
that will give you the upperhand?
It is genuine peace, born this day,
Letting freedom filter across the land.
