The Girl In The Garden Poem by Richard De La Cruz

The Girl In The Garden

Life bestowed it self
sweet as honey
the dreams of me
becoming part of a garden
consumed m y whole entire being

My life moved around
like the planets around the sun
the days began to morph
into a cheetah as they
moved in an instant pace

As i walk into the shadow
of an forgotten alley
a meager light began to appear
as I move forwards
utters of a beautiful voice
began to hit my ears
fear abdicated my bliss

A tall woman with fair skin
with hair of the color of the sun
a wave of a trance
began to attack me
my body enter a paralysis
her beauty struck me
like a giant stroking
a massive building
with its bare hand

As she came forward
my heart beat rose to a rapid motion
it sounded like the clatters of a train
I then lurched back two steps
but my heart shared a whisper
and said begin your path
with your old mate
and consumate your love
into a perpetual marriage

The woman came
and lay her hands on my shoulder
she sit me down on her garden
she then quiescented her head
on my upper legs
a peculiar feeling
was begging to arouse my heart
I let it in without a fight

As she open her blue eyes
and spoke with a voice
her saying were
The garden is where
you and I began to love
our love was bestowed by the Gods
as a gift
as I descend upon your hands
I know that our love will not astray
it self into a empty void
but it will become
something greater than our self
she with a smile
finished by saying I love you

With a tear
I begin to touch her soothing lips
which filled me with a
eternal happiness
