Old Man Poem by Richard De La Cruz

Old Man

There was a individual
who possessed a archaic age
he sat near me
and his utters released a question
what is the sole
purpose of life
I expose my remedy to him
there is no purpose
as you cant never find a fictitious hoax
come my weary friend
the children are insane
they have ignore
the man that never
comes to be known

His dark slanted eyes
were stifled
they showed
a strive to a decay
I showed him
the ways of a Hedonist
premeditate your lust for
revenge towards despair
dong hang yourself
in a loophole of confusion
get alone
in the wilderness
always know that life doesn't cast purpose
they cast you
you are bound to your divine roots

In a instant pace
the man succumbs to death
the spirit will now roam
by its quiet side
to those who are not open
at least now
cavaliers beast are lost
locking for a host to discover
and embrace it
like gasoline with fire
