The Girl Who Cries (Poem) Poem by Silence Dogood

The Girl Who Cries (Poem)

Everyday I pass the girl who always cries.
The one everyone makes fun of for wearing black all the time.
You'd never here her laugh never see her smile.
She tries to be happy but its going to take a while.
On my most days I pass her with my head bowed down.
Looking at my feet staring at the ground.
This time I see her and shes looking down.
She isnt crying but wearing a frown.
I go and say hi and ask whats wrong.
She doesnt wait to awnser for very long.
And all she says is'Why smile when its fake?
why laugh through a heartbreak?
why hide your tears if your going to cry?
why not tell the truth when your just gunna lie? '
What she says is so very true.
Why pretend when you can be you?
I sit down with her and chat for a while.
And at the end she really smiles.
The next day I sit with her again.
And im starting to call her a friend.
Everyday I do the same things.
And i notice that her red eyes are green.
And her smile isnt as fake anymore.
Shes looking alot better then before.
I tell her this and she says to me.
' All I needed was someone to cathch me,
to be there for me when I cried,
to see my tears and just ask why'
It turns out all she needed was someone to care.
To promise her that they'll always be there.
And im glad to say that because I stopped when she cried.
That I stopped to listen but not the first time.
And even though it took awhile.
Because of me shes learned to smile.
And as shes been a friend to me.
I pray her eyes will always stay green

I wrote a short story about this but some of the lines rhymed so I changed it into poem hope you like it
