The Monster And The Demon Poem by Silence Dogood

The Monster And The Demon

You put your arm around her
And hold her to your chest.
Her head it lays resting.
With your arm drapped on her breast.

And you can see me waiting.
But show no care at all.
For your just one more heartbreaker.
That causes girls to fall.

And I guess I just don't matter.
Never have and never will.
But I gave my heart to you.
And now this space I cannot fill.

But you know that when she leaves.
I'll be waiting here for you.
Cause though you never notice.
My love for you is true.

And I hate that out of everything.
That you have ever done.
That you manange to still matter.
Despite what you've become.

But trust me when I say this.
This anger won't erase.
And though I doubt you'll care
With the monster in your place.

You have a demon in you.
That you love with all your heart.
But I suggest you take a look.
As she breaks you both apart.

Because she's just as empty.
As you pretend to be.
Not a single heartfelt feeling.
Left for the world to see.

And I guess thats why you match.
Cause you always beg for more.
And she, just like you.
Wears her pants out on the floor.
