No eye would have ever seen
A spectacle of such art;
Like the temple of the Queen
Built in my heart!

The temple-walls portray
Glimpses of her smile;
That will take your pain away,
At least for a while...

The feligreed floor is filled
With her memories well-preserved;
And my care stands as a shield
To keep her undisturbed.

I intone my prayers in silence
Keeping all other things apart;
And light my Love's incense
For the Goddess of my heart.

Make no noise and come here,
Just patiently close your eyes-
If you wish to see, O dear,
A glimpse of this paradise...
