The gods are died, and all their powers gone,
No longer do they reign over earthly lands,
Their once mighty thrones now lay forlorn,
Their worshippers have left, with empty hands.
The mighty gods, with their thunderous might,
No longer strikes fear in mortal hearts,
Apollo's lyre no longer brings light,
And their wisdom have now depart.
The gods are died, their stories just tales,
Their temples now lay in ruins, forgotten,
No longer do we offer prayers and wails,
Their names no longer upon our lips, begotten.
