The Golden Embrace Of Goura-Gadādhara Poem by Ajay Kumar Dey (Pranabnandan)

The Golden Embrace Of Goura-Gadādhara

In Nabadwip's dawn, a golden light did rise,
Reflected brightly in Gadādhara's eyes.
Goura, the ocean of deep love untold,
And Gadādhara, the mirror His bliss to hold.

One is the Lord who gives the gift of Love,
The other, the devotion sent from realms above.
Like body and its shadow, they appear,
Dispelling all the Kali Yuga's fear.

When Gaura's heart was flooded by the cry,
'My Lord, O Kṛṣṇa, wherefore do you lie? '
It was Gadādhara who calmed the frantic flow,
A quiet, steadfast solace, long ago.

The world knew not the secret of this pair,
One, Rādhā's mood, the other, Kṛṣṇa's gentle care.
They taught the sacred chant, the holy sound,
Where perfect unity in devotion is found.

This eternal truth, this wisdom deep and grand,
To free the soul across this mortal land,
Let all the weary hearts their sweet names call,
Their golden mercy is enough for all.

Thus sings the poet, with a humble plea,
The grace of this divine duality,
Pranabanandan prays, with heart sincere,
May Goura-Gadādhara's prema ever be near.
