The Good Samaritan Within Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

The Good Samaritan Within

A hand to hold, a listening ear,
For those who stand with doubt and fear.
Our story told, not for our pride,
But for a new path, they can stride.

Our strength is theirs, a borrowed light,
To guide them through the darkest night.
Our hope, a seed, we gently sow,
To help their own recovery grow.

This sharing act, a vital part,
It mends our own and others' hearts.
No longer lost in self's embrace,
But finding purpose, finding grace.

Each day a chance, a selfless deed,
To plant a helpful, loving seed.
The Good Samaritan within,
Where true recovery can begin.
