The Good That I Would I Do Not Poem by Royston Allen

The Good That I Would I Do Not

The good that I would
I do not.
And that which I would not
Is that which I do.
Oh wretched man that I am.
Who shall deliver me
from this dead body of Sin?

Then I heard a voice saying
“Lo, in the volume of the book
It is written of me.
I have come that you may live
and have life more abundantly.”

So I came to Jesus as I was
Weary and worn and sad
And found in Him a resting place
And He has made me glad.
