The Good Times Poem by anlou bernal

The Good Times

I can't help but reminisce....
the way we laughed while playing silly games
the way we argued because of different NBA team faves
the way you quenched my thirst
the way you managed my tantrums
the way you silenced me with your lips
the way you kept me warm with hugs
the way you firmly held my hand and promised never to let it go
the way you brushed my hair away from my face
the way we quietly stared at each other with contentment
the way we smiled everytime we do little mischiefs
the way you looked at me with love and passion
the way you said that you can't live without me
the way you whispered my name and added your surname with it
the way you begged me to put my trust in you
the way you looked straight into my eyes and promised me that you'll always be true
the way you taught me how to love and be loved.

Everyone might think I'm crazy
I can't believe it myself
But I miss all those LIES...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem exactly a week after my ex-boyfriend broke up with me... It has been a terrible experience, and up until now I cry myself to sleep. I just wish that he'll be gone in my heart..and all these hardships will be just a bitter past turned into silly memories which I can laugh at...
