The Good With Bad Intentions Die Young... Poem by Lex Leon

The Good With Bad Intentions Die Young...

Rating: 5.0

All the gold in this world seems to temp them
Condemned they are in this time of mayhem
To stay alive behind imaginary barriers
Of those controlling world at their thrones
In this street war, they’re being used like clones
What will a mother now receive, the slug from her son’s heart
The only one she loved so much,
They’re now apart,
The time has come, soon will he depart,
Or will the one responsible crawl up to her feet
Stand up ashamed to death, bow down to her, begging to forgive
She only dreams of one thing now,
How quickly will she cease to live,
The pain and sorrow will wave at son’s departure,
Trembling and shaking, the face is moist with tears
She’ll stand right next to her son’s coffin
The presence of her seed slowly disappears
Her throat is dry, so hard to swallow
There’s no way to fight this, her soul is hollow
Can’t turn the time back on the clock
The dead son’s soul resides on execution block
With lack of courage in his time,
He couldn’t stop living in crime
The friends, like targets in a tier,
Not for the first time they bury someone,
“No more of this”, muttered in fear
The friendship shatters piece by piece
What can you say, what can you do
You simply whisper, “Rest In Peace”
The world was bigger than graveyard’s fence
He measured it in money, the end of life had to commence
All that is lost, he won’t be seeing
The beauty of the world had brighter meaning
As opposed to drawings on stolen banknotes
It sounded better than march to minor notes
I cannot stand to see a mother’s eyes from tears soaked
The fathers’ gray hair before their time evoked
It hurts to see how people suffer,
The sorrow friends and close ones feel
I cannot stand to see another casket,
Six feet in dirt, you’re begging God
For this to be unreal,
Closing the lid, for life’s forever now concealed.
