The Gray Poem by Natalie Bradford

The Gray

As everything fades away
As everything turns to gray
There you will still be
Exactly where I left you
Locked away in a memory
The only key to my phobia
I wish I could tell you everything
I wish I could show you my true self
But a wish is a wish
And I have no faith to make it come true
Now was I open a new door
Follow a new path
Choose a new beginning
I unlock my memories
I love you and nothing else
You keep me hanging on to nothing
You save me from my presence
I now know if it hadn't been for you
I would drown in my obbsession
I would destroy what color lies beneath the gray
You bring back my very escence
You trick me into surviving
You are the light in my colorless world
And I wish for nothing else
But to be rid of these memories
However if I were to dispose of my past
Dispose of my memories
I would be disposing you
