The Greatest Poem by George Boamah

The Greatest

Listen for a minute, we need to clear the air
My opinions coming at you faster than a hare
It comes down to small details, splitting hairs
All of you gather round, please listen here
I'll get down to it soon, calm down my dear
People back there, hope my voice is loud and clear
Carried this around for long, its time you got to know
Sharing is caring, so I'd like for all of us to grow
Karma is a b word, in short, you reap what you sow
I've kept you in suspense, and for that I regret
The content of my message, I know you'll detest
Nothing new under the sun, yeah, I'm the greatest
No contest, no debate, truthfully there's no other
That can do what I do, honestly there's none closer
To me ability and talent wise, it's a no brainer
When I come hard at you, I make you jump in fright
Make you run to your maker, time to book a flight
If you feel my words, nod your head and say alright
Try to compete and you'll just find yourself in hiding
Running from the law for this piece, guilty of killing
So when they request an encore, tell'em I just left the building
