The Greatest Gift Poem by Melmar Mercado

The Greatest Gift

Rating: 3.5

I asked for a gift.
A Greatest Gift.
A gift you can't see,
Or even touch
It is not expensive
But hard to find.

It's not a gizmo
That teenagers like.
It's not a garb
That girls don.
Or even a trifle
That little children wants.

It's not a card
That parents want.
It's not a bonus
That workers wait.
Or even a money
That everyone likes.

Just a simple thing
But momentous for me.
A thing you may
Show or concealed.
Every person
Yearn for this.
And all of us
Strive to have.

I'm sure you know
What is it.
That was a thing
Surely compleat my life.
What i'm looking for
Is that greatest gift.
