The Greatest Inventions Poem by Robert Rorabeck

The Greatest Inventions

Opening the tomb for the children to
Seeâ€'showing off death in the classroom:
The children, little, open mouths and
Yawn, perceiving that their day
Is still like the dawn'
With strange airplanes flying high above them'
Miraculously 'they pitch their shoulders
And head down the hallways 'the greatest
Inventions of men'
Eager with all they have learned.
