The Hard Days Poem by Nofiu Zakariyya Olatunji Nofiu

The Hard Days

The sky isn't always blue,
Sometimes it's cloudy too,
And at times, it turns to black.

Not every day
Is a good day.

Some days,
Emptiness hits our pockets
Engulfs our souls,
And life seems devoid of goals,
And worthless.

Other days,
Love becomes a test,
Of patience, loyalty, and honesty,
Leading to heart breaks and unrest.

Some days,
Silence muffles our voices,
And tears bear witness of pains,
As our hearts are engraved with lots.

Other days,
Walls cry out in desperate plea,
Yet our ears fail to hear,
And our eyes lack sight,
Lost in the shuffle.

These are the hard days,
Where respect is hardly found,
Love, trust, and exaltation.
