The Haunted Old House Poem by Ketan Hukare

The Haunted Old House

Rating: 4.5

An old house, full of cracks
Where no man ever lived
But a home for mice and bats
Or even a ghost I believed

I once thought to see its soul
Could I just knock the gate
Or dig a tunnel like a mole
Like my courage crushed and ate

Today I stand just ahead
With my legs shaking terribly
And sweat on my forehead
I am breathing heavily

I heard footsteps; I closed my eyes
Someone whispered in mi ears
I swear, I tell no lies
And it vanished as I fear

Still with my eyes closed
I thought 'What could it be? '
Secret never gonna be disclosed
No one able to see!
