The shoes you wear each passing day,
Do more than help you walk your way.
They reach past toes and tired feet,
To make your body's health complete.
If heels are high or laces tight,
Your posture fades and loses light.
Your ankles ache, your knees feel strain,
And soon you'll wake with heavy pain.
It climbs right up into your back,
And leaves your frame off-course and slack.
So choose a sole with cushion soft,
To hold your body held aloft.
With low-heeled shoes and steady tread,
You save the spine and rest the head.
With every step, be wise and kind,
For better health is what you'll find.
