HEART
There are no compartments in my heart and no walls,
no red streaks in eyes and no stains on the mind.
In my heart premises that knows no horizons
there are no thorns, no fences, no paths.
Rama, Jesus, Allah and many more are there
cheering, giggling and whispering repartes
and roaming around freely on all sides.
If I yell aloud, my unaddressed prayers
they all listen and gather around.
Soon someone will yell back 'hi'
and stand by me as a succor.
But everything in the outside world is going awry alas,
each other calling names and shouting abuses.
Their minds are filled with hatred,
there is confusion in their voices,
their eyes go sideways with crooked beams,
their lips curling with every spelling
and their words wielding like blunted swords...
I behold them chocking and gaging.
I know there are thousand walls in their hearts
where there goes on a hot hearth
with blazing fire of bigotry
... not with blood... not with blood,
but by black poison drops of boiling heresy.
