The Heart Poem by Logan brent McDougall

The Heart

Rating: 5.0

The heart is something that can go through everything or nothing.
The heart's beat as a rhythm to a song that parallels life and death.
A beat tap taping and bones snap crackling to one who is giving and never receiving.
A heart can love unlimited, but only with choice from the owner.
A heart can stop, and the vessel will pass or love will soon crash.
A heart can accept and expel blood, it can receive life and reject it.
A heart can grow weak and it can be built up again.
A heart can hold a cancer and it can hold love and life giving support.
A heart would be nothing without the rest of the body for comfort.
A heart is precious and is easily broken and not so easily restored.
Whatever the rhythm or what ever the rhyme there is only one thing that is etched in my mind. The barrier of love is something that can come easy at first, and when time and strife take a hold of your life you know that it is your decision to love or be forgiven.
The heart is what you make it, a decision from your soul
The heart should never be played with because its worth more than gold

Whenever you can reconcile your heart and mind then you can see with clarity and be able to control your emotions but it is worth mentioning that there are two hearts in dispute that must come to some type of agreement in order to come to senses and open the door to true happiness! I love your interpretation of the heart! 10+++ Keep inspiring the World with your creative works! Love and Peace for always! Wholeheartedly yours, Romeo...
