The Hidden Dreams Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

The Hidden Dreams

The weight he bears, a silent load,
On shoulders strong, a life bestowed.
For mother's pride, for father's name,
He plays the part, and hides the flame.

A daughter's hope, a son's desire,
He fans their dreams, a steady fire.
A wife's soft trust, a brother's plea,
He answers all, for them to see.

But in his heart, a whisper soft,
A different song, he longs aloft.
A canvas bright, a distant shore,
A quiet wish, he can't ignore.

Yet words stay locked, a hidden prize,
Behind the duty in his eyes.
He builds their world, with patient hand,
And dreams unspoken, in this land.
