The High End Of Town Poem by William Cheesman

The High End Of Town

I walk down this road all houses look the same
Filled with people who think life is one big game
Hidden in the country away from fame
Or any one who would say they were to blame
While here any suspitions are waved away
With a bundle of notes or any riches to keep the right at bay
That is why I make this plea
To anyone who's not afraid to see
Rich or poor, rural or city
That we should live in fairness and equality
You watch the news on the tv
Listen to people as they talk about the lack of money
While there's people who could give up money readily
And still not see a difference in the life they lead.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was going on a hike in the country with school when we walked through a really rich area. This inspired me to write this.
