The Hilton Head Blues Poem by Raymond Jimison

The Hilton Head Blues

Rating: 5.0

The Benz won't start,
the regime fees are due,
the markets are down,
and the jeweler's gonna sue.

I'm stuck on this island.
Can't buy me a cruise.
Know what I'm sayin',
I got the Hilton Head blues.

Time share's not movin'.
Traffic's a mess.
My credit card's useless.
It's bad I do confess.

Know what I'm sayin'.
I got the Hilton Head blues.

Realtors my only calls.
I got nothin' left to sell.
The condo's in foreclosure.
That big deal just won't jell.

No more drinks at the turn.
No more dinner at the club.
No more networkin' drop-ins.
No more waiters left to snub.

Know what I'm sayin'.
I got the Hilton Head blues.

The bridge is callin' me.
But I don't think I'll go.
The big deal is comin'.
I'm always in the show.

Oh Lordy, Lordy,
I do love it so.

Read this while listening to Led Zep (Physical Graffiti) . Don't quite know how that's relevant but it worked for me? ! Great riff! Regards AA Gordon

I can here the music playing the back ground, as you write you rhythm. Wonderfully done.
