The Home I'Ve Not Yet Seen. Poem by mariam khan Farah Abdulahi

The Home I'Ve Not Yet Seen.

Rating: 5.0

I dream of going home one day
To a place I’ve never seen
A place with bombs
Fighting all the time
Old people on the streets
Homeless
While the embassy is fit for a king
With luxury’s through out
Homeless sleeping out side
Orphans starving on the street
Oh Allah take me home
Don’t let America tell us what to do
I want to live in my house
With all the beautiful things that you have given us
Around me
With no more bombings in the mosque
Near to where I should be
I want to help the family that needs me
The orphans on the street
The old folks with no one to care for them
Oh Allah
Give me hope
Give me strength
One day make it for me
To be able to afford to go home
To the home
The home I’ve never seen.
