The Honey In Your Veins Poem by Julian Takali

The Honey In Your Veins

You, by being you are as cute as a button
And as sweet as a hundred tulips in a huddle
You, with that grin which reminds me what kindness looks like
And yet those eyes which remind me of the bitter goodbye

Still I cant get myself to stop biting my nails
At the thought of you
Glaring at me, completely naked

But with you, naked is stripping your mind and showing your soul
Because Im loathsome towards strippers shivering without clothes

You, by being you are enough to be
Vivid in the blur of lifes transparency
You, by being you are music frozen in time
Deafening to others ears, yet gentle to mine
