The Horseman Of Famine Poem by Tim Vallie

The Horseman Of Famine

Rating: 5.0

A Horseman rides through fields of grain, the crop then withers and dies
Upon a starved black horse that's slightly lame, from town to town rides
He brings with him hunger, pestilence, and an eerie stench of death
A tattered hood hides his face, disease spreads from every breath
His robe is shabby and torn, it is a faded shade of gray
He takes from us life, the will to live, a heavy price we pay
His eyes glow an eerie green, his skin is rotted flesh
His lips show a terrible smile, his teeth mangled and meshed
The Horseman of Famine is here to feast, upon the life force of all
He steals from us strength, and our will to be, until we finally fall
When we have no more strength, nor spirit left to drain
Then he must ride on, spreading hunger, disease and pain
The Horseman of Famine must feed to exist, his hunger never shall fade
He cannot be bought, or bargained with, he shall not be swayed
He is the Horseman Famine, and he will feast on you
So heed this warning well, this tale is all too very true
He rides the world to feast, to feed on every soul
His ride will never cease, until the world is dead and cold
