The Hour Poem by JoAnn McGrath

The Hour

We should ask not in this hour
To linger here a little longer
A frail and fragile flower
Yesteryear is quieting stronger
From whence you came
You must now surrender
Our hollowed hearts
Will still remember
Once a passion flower
Full or mirrored mirth
For speaks now the hour
Tis time for your rebirth
