I love your poem, but I would rewrite it like this. Thanks for posting. wj Like the hourglass, time moves slowly, down to the end. Time is your friend; you have lived and loved, been hurt and hurt others, enough for a lifetime. My time is not the hourglass. My hourglass has all the sand from the ocean, too much to put into a time piece. Time for me means lessons to be learned. Pain, love, longing for more. My heart has been broken since I was a little girl, year by year, trying to fill the crack with many loves. Time is endless. I can not see far into the future where like you, honesty and peace come gracefully now. The time spent with you is precious to me- every piece of sand- a raw emotion- the tiny salt in my tears. Never wanting this to end, my heart still contains a crack. The sand of your life and our short time together tries to fill it. But, as always, the tears seep in wash the truth away. I will be here with your hourglass waiting and loving every time we are together. Your life fulfilled, mine empty & never forgetting - always longing for more time. Catherine Pool
