The Hourglass Of Uncertainty Poem by Ludolf Dauphin

The Hourglass Of Uncertainty

Reciprocal LOVE bound
Without a door, unaffected by time
Until out of the night the hazel moon falls
Barely hanging on, then shattered

Now standing at the crossroads
Outgunned by love,
The sun never once smiles today
As a poet's heart bleed,
a beating of endless suffering

A lover's betrayal
Refusing to walk the path
In the wake of the realization
That love was Furlough

Now invincible scars left behind
by the flames of past love re-emerge
after the fury of love had drained
his heart and soul.

Some paradox it was
Love was endless, nurtured
Until the heart breaks
Love neglect, uncared.

Such is love
The hourglass of uncertainty
