The House Mouse Poem by David Smart

The House Mouse

The house mouse is a wee little feller,
You'll find him all over from attic to cellar.

Over the cupboards and under the floors,
Running on windows and wainscots and doors.

Nibbling here and nibbling there
Sometimes afar and sometimes too near.

Drives a girl scatty,
Dives a man batty,
Let us thank Heaven
Than "mousey" ain't "ratty! "
