The Hymn Of Ones Poem by Dmitry Garanin

The Hymn Of Ones

Who's an absolute zero -
does his easy downhill rolling.
No thinking about the edge of the Earth.
Little in your sleepy motion
could you contribute because
you're like rain pouring into the others' roundish din.

But the ones through time
are flying like precision arrows,
nailing it right in the center
but never through life do they stop.
Even lacking self-confidence, even timid,
they are stealing from thousands of sickles their crop
and cementing forever the pride
of their own achievement.

This is the binary code -
yes and no with the void in the middle.
One is dead all his lifetime,
and another is ever alive.
Some are leaving their space and their time
with no traces.
Others challenge decay and are valiant in the strife,
so that circles go on, over the calmness of waters.
