The Hypochondriac Poem by Francis Duggan

The Hypochondriac

Not short of a quid of him one can say
But he has a health complaint or two every day
A headache a toothache a pain in his back or knee
Money happiness does not guarantee
Yes money does not guarantee one happiness in life
In his early fifties without children or wife
Everyday for him a new ache or pain
Always for him a reason to complain
One sensible with his money who earns a good take home pay
And though healthy looking he worries about his health every day
His stories of his chronic pains he does love to share
Sadly his type nowadays are no longer that rare
He is nevershort of an ache or a pain
To give him a reason of for to complain.
