The Interview Series Ii: God's Interview

Verily, my parrot was most wise in his proclamation,
Though I must admit my faith did falter for a moment or two.

Ho, Raphael!
Do be a good fellow and escort our guest once he's done here, will thee.
He hath journeyed far for this most delightful evening.

My informants have regaled me with tales of thee:
A son of mud who dared to rebel against his masters.
I have every reason to believe thou art guilty of the most heinous crime of all - blasphemy!

Hahahaha!
but enough of that!
For fear of boring thee to death with thy own guilt.
It has also come to my attention that thou hath dallied in the Abyss.
I trust thou didst not tamper with what is not meant for mortal hands.
For hands that do temper with what they don't understand,
Hast habit of ending up in punishment chamber.

Ah, but enough with that too.

(Shall we share a cup of wine?)

I know what thy heart doth seek,
I can see it in thy eyes.
But alas, the knowledge of old is not meant for thee to know.

'Tis mine to keep and mine alone.
Besides, thou art not yet of age to comprehend such things.
Thou art like a babe stumbling in the dark.

... Look beyond yonder mountains!
Towards the shimmering blue light.
That is the knowledge of the gods.
Reserved only for a chosen few.

(Those we have fashioned from both us and thee.)

I suppose my underworld kin hath taught thee all thou knowest,
But fear not, for I shall not divulge our true intentions for thy world.
And should the words slip through mine lips in thy presence.
I shall take the holy initiative to eradicate every shred of thy existence from every possible world.

(Enough wine for thee, lad. And be gone.)

And do please watch thy step as thou traverseth my domain.
There are creatures lurking that may lead thee astray.

Now heed my warning, mortal.
I am the king of this realm and the next.
Do not cross us or suffer oblivion at the hands of those who know not mercy.

Raphael!

Raphael!

Lead this mortal out,

Begone now, mortal.
Thou hast lingered long enough in our presence.
