The Jack Fruit Tree



During the summer time
I often see
The small jack tree
With the jack fruits
Hanging onto the stem,
The branches,
Flowering before
But ripening
During the summertime
Hard of smell,
Sometimes even
The underground roots
Can be with the jacks
Smelling hard and sweet.
