The Jacuzzi Party Poem by Aida Santos

The Jacuzzi Party

1
stars afloat the skies
beyond Laguna de Bai
pens are shimmering skeletons
of barbed bamboos
crisscrossing the once placid waters
imprisoning fish and much more;
moon-mountains glow against the dark
the legend of Maria Makiling
comes back, like an old song
picture pretty
postcard shot

2
women in the jacuzzi
shirts thrown in abandon
amidst gurgling waters
translucent upon our skin;
we swim in our heads
desires, perhaps, stirring quietly
in this delightful company
i see your breasts carved
against the blue waters
i am confused, like this racing liquid

3
the stars are afloat the skies
as i touch, oh very lightly
my own breasts
connecting with the warmth
of an unknown:
finding reasons for the tingling
feeling rising above the water
translucent upon our skin
mingling with the bubbles
some unnamed desire
no, not for the moon, or the stars
