The Jesus Way Poem by Royston Nella

The Jesus Way

Let's turn the other cheek
and not be arrogant but meek.
Greet our enemy with a smile
and walk the extra mile.

Give to those who want to borrow,
and love as though there's no tomorrow.
For following Jesus is all about
turning selfish values inside out.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Matthew 5: 43-48

"You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbour and hate your enemy.' But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
