The day was dark, the sky was gray,
I felt alone, I lost my way.
A heavy weight, a troubled mind,
Left hope and joy far, far behind.
But then a spark, a tiny light,
Began to shine, so soft and bright.
A gentle hand, a whispered plea,
To stand up tall, to just be me.
Each step was small, a little strain,
Through sun and clouds, through wind and rain.
A stumble here, a fall or two,
But always rising, fresh and new.
I learned to breathe, to feel the sun,
To know that battles can be won.
To trust myself, to mend and grow,
To let the healing waters flow.
This path is long, it's never done,
But oh, how far I have begun.
The sky is clearing, soft and blue,
My journey's onward, strong and true.
