The Joy Of Writing Important Thoughts Poem by Alexandre Nodopaka

The Joy Of Writing Important Thoughts

The Joy of Writing Important Thoughts

I just read how the smallest of things
can fill your life with joy
and you know what!

It really inspired me.

Of course it all happened after tossing
in bed for more than an hour feeling
miserable and deciding to get my butt up
starting the day on the right foot.

So I rise while it is still dark.

Feel with my feet for the loafers.

Find them, wiggle, crawl my toes in
but sense that the right one doesn't fit
comfortably because the night before
while pitching them, the inside sole
buckled out and now makes
the soft inside part of my sole
ticklishly uncomfortable.

So I nudge it a bit in and out then sideways
but finally must bend down
to straighten it by flattening.

Ah, such a small thing but what a sense
of relief now that my foot feels like toes
inside a velvet glove.

A sensual miracle!

Literally

Anyhow, somehow bored, I think
of coaching the newest generation
on avoiding life mistakes.

And the first one is writing this.
