Isn't there a Judas within us?
He was an Apostle of Christ;
He was in charge of all their funds;
He learned to steal upon the sly!
His love of money brought his end;
He knew one can't serve two Masters!
And God was one, the true Master.
He misused freedom that God gave.
The other master was money -
The visible God is money still,
The root of all evils on earth,
That aids the soul's decline to hell.
God gives the freedom to do things;
God's grace uplifts our life's status;
Man's foolishness brings his downfall;
Money can land a soul in hell.
Judas chose to betray Lord Christ;
His lure of lucre made him blind;
His master was Lord Jesus Christ;
But he loved money more than God.
His wrong decision surprised all;
Was Jesus not a person known?
But Judas Iscariot turned bad;
He thought of turning rich this way!
Many of us are like Judas;
We make money the bigger God;
We learn to earn in sinful ways;
We know we leave all wealth on earth.
Our faith in money is too strong;
We think money can give all joys;
Money, we think brings happiness;
Money brings downfall of our soul.
All life, we know the one true God;
We heed to Satan's deceptions;
We're caught in tempter's snares and baits;
We serve a false God money still.
Judas need not have betrayed Christ;
Christ was to die a death on cross;
This was His Father's Holy Will;
He died for no sins own or crime.
Each one of us betray Christ Lord;
Our sins are nails, thorns- Christ's passions;
Our selfishness goads us to sin;
We make the cross heavier for Christ.
But Christ is Savior, Lord, God;
He's willing to carry our cross;
He is ready to give us peace;
But we must walk in his foot-steps.
A Judas lives in each of us!
We serve the wrong master, money;
We love money much more than God;
Money can land our soul in hell!
Society's crimes are money-made;
Money can blunt our conscience;
Money can take a honest life;
Money can kill one innocent.
Money is cause of corruption;
Money is cause of abortion;
Money is cause of every lie;
Money is envy's origin.
A Judas lives in each of us!
We shouldn't love money more than God;
Money is good if fairly earned;
Money when ill-gotten, evil.
Isn't there a Judas within us?
